GÖDEL BELVU, FOUNDER OF BELVU

Gödel Belvu was born in Vienna, Austria Empire in the late 18th Century. Gödel has grown up in the era of rich artistic colour, the strong royal culture nurtured him with an excellent sense of appreciation of art and music.

WATCHMAKING HISTORY FROM 1899

With the outbreak of Second World War in 1939, Gödel Belvu moved to Bern, Switzerland, where the young Belvu met his mentor of watchmaking. Gödel Belvu inherited the knowledge and skills of Swiss traditional watchmaking from his mentor, with his hardworking aptitude and endeavour, soon became a master of watchmaking.

BELVU ESTABLISHED IN 1947

Gödel Belvu became one of the most famous watchmakers in Switzerland. In 1940, he established his first watchmaking workshop ‘BELVU SA’ in Bern, Switzerland, to provide services of design, production and movement invention for customers. Finally, Gödel Belvu founded his own watch brand ‘BELVU’ in 1974.
